    Exclusive Presentation

PCG is pleased to announce an exclusive presentation at the August 2012 Managing Change Conference in Orlando. David Johns has agreed to present a half day workshop on finding and hiring top performers for pawn shops and check cashing/payday loan stores.

Those attending this special event will receive a free first issue workbook prepared by David that outlines the following information:

    • What are the legal requirements that surround applications for employment?

    • Never mind what you should not ask new hire applicants….what should you ask these candidates.

    • Interview techniques and questions that help identify a top performer.

    • A listing of the most common mistakes made during interviews of prospective candidates for all positions in pawn shops and check cashing/payday loan stores.

    • Sourcing for the best candidates to work in pawn shops and check cashing/payday loan stores.

    • Why reference checks can be a waste of time.

    • Should you spend the time and money to have all new candidates complete a drug test?

    • Can you hire and fire in the same week? If so, how is this done? Will unemployment compensation be paid the terminated individual?

    • Measuring productivity to enhance performance or provide the impetus for a legally sound and successful termination of employment.

    • How long should you tolerate an unsatisfactory team member?

    • When should you look for new hire candidates?

David will provide a valuable bonus to the above in the form of a complete explanation of the Thurstone Temperament Schedule (TTS) along with real life examples of completed TTS Schedules for known top performers. David will also provide examples of respondents who completed the TTS but were not hired as well as a detailed discussion regarding why these individuals were not hired.

This part of the workshop is particularly valuable, as this information is not published in any other form available to the public.

This section of the free workbook will include all the referenced real life TTS examples.

Throughout the workshop, participants will be free to ask David questions about the information outlined above as well as other concerns that may be identified by attendees.

We are not aware of any other workshop of this kind that is available to the general public. PCG is fortunate to have an association with David that allows us to bring this event to the industry!
